Walking down the street

wishing I would meet
someone to laugh with
someone to talk with
catching gazes
smiling faces
rainbows everywhere
wish I'd be there
hanging with them
banging with them

finally found
happiness and love
sent by a heaven's dove

no more time to feel sad.

People yelling
but I'm dwelling
with clogged ears
last night's fears
resolved into air
this nightmare
I want it to burn
I want it to turn
into a paradise
with sparkling night skies
with blossoming trees
a soft breeze
on my bare skin
my sin
forgiven
I'm driven
glowing
flowing
like a stream of fresh water
I'm a daughter
of mother earth
who's caring since my birth
won't stop until I'm dead
roses of red
blooming on my lawn
from dusk until dawn
from spring to fall
until winter's call.

But that's a long way to go
much time to grow
for the flowers and me
keep my eyes open and see
life's glory and beauty
